Whilst RAD is a Leicester-based organisation we currently have clients across the UK, and many more on our waiting list who cannot join us until we have a trainer in their region. We benefit from the invaluable support of a growing network of volunteer trainers across the country, but still have a number of vacancies for volunteer trainers.

We offer all volunteer dog trainers an initial training package and ongoing support. Although we are seeking trainers who have experience of working with people with mental health disabilities, the role does not involve providing any mental health support.

RAD is currently looking for trainers in the following areas:

Scotland (particularly Edinburgh and Glasgow)

• Norfolk
• Kent
• Durham
• Yorkshire
• Lincolnshire
• Hampshire

We are seeking trainers who:

• Have a dog training qualification or equivalent.
• Have at least one year of experience training dogs.
• Have some experience of working with clients with a mental health disability or autism.
• Ideally have experience working with assistance dogs.
• Are able to work alone with a client in a public space.
